Protect Your Lungs With Your Shirt
I love when fashion and technology are combined, and I see more of this type of thing in the future. Smart Clothing that gives the wearer/user feedback or interaction with the surrounding environment. This piece from Industrial design students Genevieve Mateyko and Pamela Troyer at Emily Carr University of Art + Design is very smart. The vest has sensors embedded on the back side that detect the ambient air quality and display via LED’s how dirt the air is. The more dirty the more lit up you are. The vest also contains small components that vibrate to let the wearer know they have entered a dangerous zone. Then the second part of the design comes into play. The vest has an elongated collar that can be extended to cover the wearer’s mouth to protect them for the unhealthy air lingering around them. There is no purchase this garment yet, but the designers I’m sure are working with companies to make this piece available to the public. Samurai Destroys Kool-Aid
This is one hilarious T-Shirt design. It combines two things that I love, feudal Japanese warriors of honor and the death of one obnoxious drink. They say a picture is worth 1000 words, but this only needs one. PERFECT.

Type On Your Crotch!
This is an interesting, albeit hideous way to integrate technology and fashion. “Beauty and the Geek” comes from designer Erik De Nijs and won’t be available for everyone to purchase and wear. The pants are a dark color jean and have bright orange stitching. I guess the idea of sitting down and banging on my crotch is good, if it was more practical and didn’t subject me to sitting in awkward positions. Bonus there is an attached mouse that sits in your ass pocket meaning you get to be uncomfortable just walking around. Seriously my wallet is skinnier than that thing and I get ass cramps all the time. Rounding off this wondrous design are speakers behind your knees, because the people behind you would rather hear your music than you. I guess it would be convenient for those amateur rappers that always try to get you to give them a buck or two for their CD because they are going to be famous. All and all the more convenient route for this type of fashion is projectors and augmented reality more than actually sewing a keyboard into a pair of pants. Would you sport them?
Charge on the Go
Between the bike that produces a charge and this solar panel backpack, no good geek should ever go without a charge again. This backpack features a detachable solar panel that can be carried separately from the backpack or with it. The solar panel works by charging a lithium ion battery and uses a female USB port to expel the juice to your electronic of choice. The backpacks are shipping in May and can be pre-ordered today for $197.00.

This shirt surfaced around the internets around last week and has quickly spread throughout the web. I have been hesitant to put it up for a recommendation for daily couture because I like giving you products you can actually purchase, but wait no longer! The Boob Controller shirt is Russian in origin and its creator has named it the shit b!tch C(.)ntr(.)L. You can get yours directly from Russia (with love!) for only $40.00. Lego wallets look cool.
Who doesn’t like Legos right? These lego wallets or business card holders are from the good people over at Color By Numbers. The wallets are all made to order and come in a few different styles. Above we have pictured the Green, Grey and Blue baseplate models. The multicolored wallet is a baseplate model with bricks already attached. After the jump is the actual Brick model of the wallet. Each wallet costs somewhere between $24.00 to $32.00 dollars converted from British pounds. The cool part of this whole Lego wallet thing, is that if you get the baseplate model you can pretty much create your own designs! Now this is what I like to see, the definition of Nerd Couture or Geek Chic. A skirt modeled after your favorite cute little bastard gremlin…Gizmo!
