Take the whole thing with you

The picture above is an entire working bike folded between two wheels. Designer Dominic Hargreaves decided he was sick of taking one wheel off his bike only to return and find the rest of the bike missing. Since no bike manufacture’s could give him a viable solution he decided to take matters into his own hands. The Contortionist is inspired by the Transformers and everyday convenience. The bike folds into itself until it fits between it’s two 26′ wheels. So, instead of just taking a wheel with you, you can drag your wheel sized bike behind you, or pick it up for safekeeping and space saving storage. The design was nominated for a few awards and Dominic is in talks with companies to get his creation off the ground. Click the jump to see a video (trust me you want to see this thing transform). I especially like the fact that he hides the chain of the bike in the frame, genius.
It’s a mouse that uses Air!
So this company created a mouse that you strap you your hand (or pelvis). The mouse works using seamlessly aligning it self to the contours of you hand (or penis) for wireless…mousing. You lay your hand flat in a natural resting position and proceed to move your hand around like your actually using a mouse. The left and right mouse buttons are mapped to your ring and middle finger accordingly. The idea keep your hands free so you can type at the same time as well as keep your wrists free from computer related injuries (see carpal tunnel). The device comes in blue, yellow, purple and my favorite black (although if they want to keep the Mac-Addicts they are going to need white!) If you are interested you can contact the Deanmark and ask them when you can purchase one. it’s looking like a few months from now they will be available for roughly $130. I feel like this wireless mouse coupled with AR you can get some serious Minority Report shit happening soon.
The Gear Ring (It actually turns!)

Accessories are sexy, so are working gears going round and round. Merge the two and you have one Chic ring for any Nerd or Geek. Getting back to accessories, they are fashionable, they make you stand out to the ladies in a way that bright feathers make peacocks stand out. This ring is made from high quality matte stainless steel. There are six gears total on the ring that all turn in unison as the outer ring is turned. The ring comes in sizes 9,10,11 and 12; it costs $165. Click the jump for a video of the ring in action and links to buy it!
Daily Nerd Couture/Geek Chic (Augmented Reality)

T-Post is a magazine from Sweden that delivers the news of the world..with a T-Shirt. Every issue subscribers get a sleek fresh smelling magazine and a cool and perhaps trendy article of clothing. This month the magazine shipped with the shirt pictured above. WHY is it cool? you may be asking yourself….Because it’s an augmented reality T-Shirt!
Augmented Reality is a live merger of the real world and virtual via computer enhanced elements and is currently an emerging technology field. Integration can be visual, tactile or olfactory for augmentation. The most common application at the moment is using a fiduciary marker and a webcam to display to the user a 3D object which can then be rotated in the display by rotating the marker. Most people have been made family through an Assassins Creed II promotion, though this method has spread down to retail ads. Even the city around us isn’t safe from a little augmenting , a building in Japan uses QRCodes, an iphone and twitter feeds to interactively display what is happening inside the building in real-time! Using this technology coupled with shops, stores, bus stops, etc. people could interact using a mobile device (perhaps some sort of sunglasses HUD) to receive up-to-date information pertaining to their environment! For example, you could scan the QR-Code of a shop you are passing by to know what sales were going on inside or scan a bus stop to track what time the next bus would arrive or you could even make a dinner reservation at a restaurant just by walking or driving by the place.

Scientists over at Standford U have their heads in the right places. The science comes from dipping fabrics into an “ink” of carbon nanotubes, and was first demonstrated last year on plain copier paper. The advantage to using fabrics or textiles is that now batteries” become flexible!
…Stanford University in the US has shown that [their] “ink” made of carbon nanotubes – cylinders of carbon just billionths of a metre across – can serve as a dye that can simply and cheaply turn a t-shirt into an “e-shirt”.
The researchers hope that they can eventually make wearable solar cells integrated into clothing, meaning we could charge our cellphones, for example, by just walking around outside. In my opinion I hope that besides solar cells researchers eventually integrate wireless receivers into everyday dress-ware so that we can access the network from anywhere….crazy!
CLAP…and the rolling cat….rolls. Hilarious and entertaining for hours. Get it in a house with another cat and hilarity will ensue for hours. Just keep it away from ovarys because they might burst from cuteness. Get yours over at Gizmine who are importing them directly from the Land of the Rising Sun for only $80 (my god!)

Daily Nerd Couture/Geek Chic (BlackBerry inPulse)

The future is HERE! Remember that video where japan predicts the future of technology…the watch shown in the video is here…almost. The device is from BlackBerry and it’s called the inPulse. It’s only for the most trendy BlackBerry users, but it looks so slick that I have no idea why you wouldn’t want it! It extends your black berry to your wrist via blue tooth. Being a sleek watch you look fashion conscious and you can do your work without fumbling with your GD phone. Specs are as follows:
- 1.3″ full colour organic light-emitting-diode (OLED) display
- Bluetooth® v2.0+EDR
- 150 mAh lithium-ion polymer battery
- Glass lens and full metal body
- 22mm interchangeable wrist band
- Vibrating motor
- Micro-USB port (for charging)
- Over-the-air firmware updates
- Dimensions: 51mm height x 38mm width x 12mm depth
Hit the jump for a small video of the watch, note this is just an EXTENSION of the BlackBerry itself meaning at the moment there is no input, just display, but they hint to future updates that would allow input, or you can check this out this bad-ass watch/smart phone. Here’s hoping the future holds more of these devices….

It's a Table!

Oh...It's a f***ing desk!

SHIT....It's a bum sanctuary
I remember building forts with blankets, boxes and couches….I feel jipped. I think colleges need to implement these desks so that big kids can rest at the end of the semester when finals hit, it’s genius! Ingrid Brandth designed what she calls “Daily Shelter” I think it’s awesome. Enjoy kids…you lucky bastards.
